In the event, it was announced that Gunner is asexual, Scout is nonbinary, Engineer is pansexual, Driller is gay, and the Forge Master is demisexual. Karl is stated to be a straight ally. The new armor paints added for each class are in their relevant pride flags’ color scheme.

• New vanity unlock: Oktoberfest Fedora. Formerly only purchased during the event but now can be unlocked after completing the Oktoberfest celebrations assignment. 2022 released two new hats which are the Trachtenhut and the Kegger. 2023 released with the Sausagebucket helmet.
• Giant inflatable pretzels, sausage wursts, beer kegs, haystacks, pumpkins and sunflowers decorate throughout the Space Rig
• Likewise, wheats, Barley Bulbs , Yeast Cones , Starch Nuts and Malt Stars are placed inside curved out pumpkins in the Rig
• Loyd wears a green Alpine hat
• The Best Wurst Beer is now available in the Abyss Bar
• Oktoberfest banner in the Abyss Bar
• Mining the Mugs out and depositing in Molly gifts the players double the XP after completing the mission

• Was released first along with Update 18.5: Halloween (October 2018).
• Limited time Headwear: Pumpkin King, The Witching Hour, Horned Horror and Mad Cap Clown. Additional headwear in the limited Halloween Party Special assignment . Can only be acquired during the event time.
• Kickable pumpkins added to various locations inside the Space Rig
• Ordinary lighting replaced with purple lighting. Lighting later replaced with dark purple candles in 2022
• Hanged sheet ghosts, glowing skeletal skulls, cobwebs, bats and spooky trees decorate the Rig
• Spooky flying bats and a dense smog are animated within the Abyss Bar
• Loyd wears a witch's hat
• Halloween Banner in the Abyss Bar
• Destroyed using weapons or pickaxes
• Once destroyed, An evil laughter sound effect will play

• The Yuletide Cap, the Antler Cap, and the Yuletide Sock. Additional headwear in the limited Yearly Performance Bonus assignment . Can only be acquired during the event time.
• Yuletide banner in the Abyss Bar
• Kickable baubles and presents added to various locations inside the Space Rig
• Baubles can be shattered once kicked enough, causing Mission Control to get angry
• Floating presents outside the station windows
• Occasionally, Santa can be seen flying by on a sled powered by antler-wearing Glyphid Grunts outside the window
• Snow behind the counter at the Abyss Bar, Lloyd is wearing a small Yuletide hat
• Cozy candles in the lower and upper areas of the Space Rig
• Ambient Christmas carols and songs play in the background
• Small Yuletide hat on top of the Mission Terminal
• Snow piles around the Space Rig . Press E (interact) to form a snowball, which you can throw. Teammates are a good target.
• Multiple gifts spawn around one cozy candle decoration
• Once destroyed, A "ho ho ho" sound effect will play
• Spawns Loot Bugs and Glyphid Swarmers. Very rare chance it will spawn an Error Cube
• Colorful baubles and candles will spawn around the gifts, they can be shattered with a pickaxe or by walking on them.
• The 2022 Yuletide event spawned the new Yuletide Elf special mob. Killing him and then retrieving his body to be collected by Molly grants the players double XP.

Halloween Skull

Overview Resources Skull

A single Halloween Skull will spawn in every mission during the halloween event.

The Halloween Skull is a large floating skull, with a low green light emanating from its eye sockets. It possesses a small green flame on its scalp, and is surrounded by a cloud of light green gas. When disturbed the skull will flee from the player, similarly to a Fester Flea . The Halloween skull also posses a chilling aura, quickly cooling creatures close to it.

When fleeing the Halloween Skull leaves a trail of green flames behind. Additionally when hit the skull emits a creepy laugh, and releases a confetti of purple sparks, bat shaped particles, and small bones.

Once killed the Halloween Skull drops from where its floating, becoming a heavy object.

Heavy objects must be picked up and carried by hand, or via Bosco . When carrying it a Player cannot do anything but throw flares and ride ziplines. Additionally carrying a heavy object gives a 25% movement speed penalty, and disables sprinting. Heavy Objects can be dropped by throwing using the [FIRE] or [MINE] key. Switching weapons, Saluting, or using the Laser Pointer will also cause the player to drop the Heavy Object.

The Halloween Skull (Object) is a highlighted on the terrain scanner, appearing as a skull.

Deep rock galactic halloween 2023 event brings new mad cap clown mask and more.

Deep Rock Galactic’s Halloween 2023 event is about to make Hoxxes IV much spookier than it usually is, bringing a scary new mask for us to add to our collection. Between its start and end dates , a few other goodies also make heading out on missions more lucrative.

DRG’s Halloween 2023 introduces one new limited-time assignment that we can complete in order to earn the new Mad Cap Clown hat. Once claimed, it adds a dash of the insane to our dwarves’ outfits.

Deep Rock Galactic Halloween 2023 Event

A second assignment, appropriately named Last Year’s Horrors, then allows anyone jumping back in for DRG’s Halloween 2023 event to claim cosmetics from its past iterations.

Assignments simply involve completing a chain of specific mission types, so we won’t need to jump through any significant hoops or learn skills other than bug killing.

In the past, some yielded rewards with each completed step, while others waited until the final stage was done before showering us with goodies.

Deep Rock Galactic’s Halloween 2023 event has locked down its start date to October 26 at 4 AM PT/7 AM ET/12 PM BST. Its end date is slated to occur on November 9 at the same hour, giving us precisely two weeks to earn rewards new and old.

DRG’s Halloween 2023 event also adds shrieking skulls that float around Hoxxes IV’s caves. Hunting them down and retrieving them yields double XP used to progress through Season 4 battle pass.

Lastly, the Space Rig, will be covered in decorations depicting “frightful ghosts, loads of candles (the scary kind) and pumpkins aplenty.”
