Organizational Change: Case Study of General Motors
— The main purpose of this article was to elaborate and bring to light the core concept of the organization change, how it works, diverse factors which moves organization to change, steps for change, resistance for change, change forces, change management approaches and last an example of General Motor (GM) has given that how change was taken place in the organization and what was the strategies for change management. Recommendations and conclusion forms the last part of the paper.

Ascorbic acid is a potent reducing and antioxidant agent that functions in fighting bacterial infections, in detoxifying reactions. In the present research work an attempt has been made to develop and validate spectrophotometric method for determination of ascorbic acid in bulk powder form using UV-1900 model. The method was developed using methanol: water (50:50 v/v) as a solvent in which ascorbic acid shows maximum absorbance wavelength at 258nm. In order to optimize the developed method, validation of ascorbic acid were performed as per ICH guidelines parameters such as Linearity, Selectivity, Specificity, Precision, Robustness, Ruggedness, LOD & LOQ, Solution stability were performed. Ascorbic acid Showed linear response between concentration range of 3, 6, 9, 12, 15µg/mL with r2 value 0.997 all the validation report of Precision, robustness, ruggedness and solution stability were found to be in acceptance limit. Seeking Peace in the Wake of War, 2016
As the Second World War drew to a close, it was evident that Greece would have to rely on foreign aid for its survival. Already during the Nazi occupation, the city dwellers were dependent on International Red Cross food imports. After a disastrous famine in the winter of 1941-1942 that claimed the lives of 45,000 people in Athens and Piraeus, the Allies lifted the naval blockade and, from September 1942 until the liberation of the country, 15,000 tons of grain and 3,000 tons of other foodstuffs were unloaded in Greek ports every month. In November 1943, the governor of the Bank of Greece, Kyriakos Varvaressos, prepared a memorandum on behalf of the Greek government in exile for the newly established United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration (UNRRA), in which he outlined the structural economic problems of Greece and the havoc that Nazi occupation had wrought. He foresaw that 'a large section of the Greek population would have to rely entirely on imports for the satisfaction of its needs'. 1 This is what exactly happened with UNRRA aid in the immediate postwar years. In fact, it was not only the population that was dependent on foreign relief aid, but also the state that was dependent on foreign economic assistance. Greece was among the major recipients of foreign aid after the end of the Second World War. In 1952, Varvaressos submitted another report to the Greek government, in which he estimated that postwar economic aid to Greece had reached $2 billion. Despite this enormous amount, he concluded that Greece 'is and will remain a poor country with limited economic potentialities' and singled out the economic dependence of Greece on US economic aid as a major source of concern. 2 In this chapter, I will examine the economic and social problems that Greece faced after the end of the war in order to address two questions. The Mediterranean region is highly vulnerable to climate change. Longer and more intense heatwaves and droughts are expected. The Gordes Dam in Turkey provides drinking water for Izmir city and irrigation water for a wide range of crops grown in the basin. Using the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT), this study examined the effects of projected climate change (RCP 4.5 and RCP 8.5) on the simulated streamflow, nitrogen loads, and crop yields in the basin for the period of 2031–2060. A hierarchical approach to define the hydrological response units (HRUs) of SWAT and the Fast Automatic Calibration Tool (FACT) were used to reduce computational time and improve model performance. The simulations showed that the average annual discharge into the reservoir is projected to increase by between 0.7 m3/s and 4 m3/s under RCP 4.5 and RCP 8.5 climate change scenarios. The steep slopes and changes in precipitation in the study area may lead to higher simulated streamflow. In addition, the rising temperatures predicted in the projections could lead to earlier spring snowmelt. This could also lead to increased streamflow. Projected nitrogen loads increased by between 8.8 and 25.1 t/year. The results for agricultural production were more variable. While the yields of poppy, tobacco, winter barley, and winter wheat will increase to some extent because of climate change, the yields of maize, cucumbers, and potatoes are all predicted to be negatively affected. Non-continuous and limited data on water quality and crop yields lead to uncertainties, so that the accuracy of the model is affected by these limitations and inconsistencies. However, the results of this study provide a basis for developing sustainable water and land management practices at the catchment scale in response to climate change. The changes in water quality and quantity and the ecological balance resulting from changes in land use and management patterns for economic benefit could not be fully demonstrated in this study. To explore the most appropriate management strategies for sustainable crop production, the SWAT model developed in this study should be further used in a multi-criteria land use optimization analysis that considers not only crop yields but also water quantity and quality targets.
